Under-hood heat.
The unit is hard-mounted to the top of the engine.
Lots of folks fail to reinstall the plastic cover which helps with air deflection over the top of the engine.
This can lead to the ECU experiencing higher temperatures and failing prematurely.
The other issue is the very small pins/wires in the two connectors.
If not careful, you can cause pin damage.
I use die-electric grease in these connectors to aid in corrosion protection but also to allow everything to slide fit more easily.
Never had an issue.
