Help! I've had my '96 Saab 900 from new, and it has been a fantastic car - except for the sound system. It's a standard fit Clarion with 6-CD autochanger. The autochanger was replaced once under warranty, but around a year later stopped working. I've lived with that, but now the radio/cassette player has stopped altogether.
The car was sitting in my drive unused for a few months, and the battery died. I replaced the battery and the usual 'code' message came up. I entered the code, and it just stared back at me, refusing to do anything. The code matches my card exactly, so no incorrect keystrokes. I left the radio the standard hour-and-a-bit, and cleared the display to try again. Same thing, so I set off on a 3-hour - very quiet - journey. Now the radio is completely dead. Although the aerial comes up when I start the car, the display is blank and it refuses to react to any keys - including the power button.
Anybody help?
