Hi all,

I have a nokia hands free kit fitted to my 93 but I need to have a cradle for my phone.

Has anyone got or fitted the saab telephone holder cradle as seen in the link http://www.elkparts.com/saab-93-ss-m03/acc...sscv.p2743.html

How is it, easy to fit?

Also do I have to get a holder to fit to this or does it come with some sort of universal phone holder?

The Saab Telephone Console is just a blank panel that you screw your phone kit to. There are no extras or moving parts!!

Not sure how the 9-3 one fits, but I have fitted a similar item in a 9-5 and it's fairly straightforward. Certainly DIY.

My 9-3 Aero has one fitted. The phone kit was taken off before I bought the car so i've just got the Saab cradle.

Anyway, all I can say is that it is a really neat fit, looks good and is better than drilling straight into the dashboard.

Have a look at brackets from Dashmount or Brodit. They will still be just a bracket to mount your own phone cradle onto.

I have a Parrot bluetooth kit. It has voice activation, so I don't need to touch the phone for most calls, just one button to initiate a call on the small headset. Don't the Nokia bluetooth kits come with a button that you can mount somewhere handy? My phone lives in the centre armrest and stays connected to the charger which is plugged into the power outlet.

Hi Chinoo. I am looking at a mount for my phone as you were. Am thinking of the Saab mount with the Brodit swivel cradle to make it so I can cut down on screen glare.

How did you get on with yours? Much luck getting the kit fixed on? And what do you think to the solution?

Thanks in advance.

I have just ordered a Brodit holder and a Brodit Car kit piece, got the pillar mounted on, so it will be just about the airvent on the Right hand side.

Ran my iphone cable fron the Armrest plug through to the side and an AUX from the Centre console to the same point so fully connected up now.

Also have a Parrot kit for calling, so use it for SatNav and Tunes.

Ordered from DSL Development.

Well the Bodit iPhone cradle and Saab window pillar bracket turned up yesterday, and I promptly fitted it.

Ran a USB extension cable from the power point in the arm rest round to the right hand pillar and a phono cable from the stereo to the same place.

The A-Pillar bracket was a little fiddly to get into place but when I finally clicked it in is was perfect.

Would recommend to anyone who needs a phone mounting point.

They do 3 types:
one that goes on the A-Pillar (Not for Convertables)
one that goes next to the upper cup holder (Renders the cup holder useless)
one that goes on the left side of the centre console (Might hamper the passengers leg space)
