Arghh would you beleive it, just ordered a brand new replacement CIM unit off ebay, guy bought it from the dealers 3 years plus back but it was never fitted as his wiper problem turned out to be motor not Cim anyhow digressing, it was a great price so I took a punt on it, I have a 203 aero 93 with I believe esp, has the button on the dash anyhow, no tcs button anywhere I can see, well I had a panick moment after shelling out so rushed out to my dead car with a torch and quickly removed the suspect Cim, part numbers are toatally different, can anyone cross reference them for me please, either way once I have them someone on here could then purchase the Brand new Cim for my cost if it wont fit and they require it.

difference 12769673AA just bought brand new 12801015AK fitted into my saab and playing up.

Help.

Cheers jon both are listed as esp as my car has it fitted but my worry was the roll back in part number, the brand new unit is a lower part number, ie 127 currently fitted is 128, just changing out all parts before getting the car recovered to saab, should keep the labour and parts bill right down, I also know for a fact its brand new and never been paired in a car before.

Hi, I also need a new cim for my 2007 Aero with esp. i managed to find the part number by pulling the vinyl cover back and using a mirror to read the sticker on the back of cim, it is also 12769673AA. Trouble is the closest part number i can find that i've seen for sale has the part number 12769671AA. Does anybody know if these two part numbers are interchangeable?
Thanks in advance

Hi the reason is about six months ago i had a steering lock malfunction where as i couldn't get the steering lock off when i inserted the key. i had to get the car recovered to a Saab specialist who somehow got round the problem with the Tech 2. He diagnosed it as being a faulty CIM unit (very expensive repair!!!).
However i also have the touch screen sat nav, and ever since it has been displaying "Theft Lock Activated" on the screen.
He says he is not 100% sure if this is connected to the CIM problem, but if i have the CIM replaced we can take it from there.
I don't want to spend loads of money only for him to say sorry but it must be another problem and that's gonna cost more.
I also now have the stability control failure error message constantly appear when i first start the car up.
Anybody here had any similar problems to shed light on this?

I have been driving around for the last six months with this fault simply because i didn't have the money to get it fixed, but i am now trying to get a CIM unit myself to save some money and then get him to fit it, but he say's the part numbers must be an exact match, but somebody else told me any CIM unit that is ESP compatible will do.

Thanks in advance
