I have a 93 SE Turbo X reg. Can anyone tell me if i can change the dash speakers (which are 8 ohms) to 4 ohm speakers?

I think you might have to fit a 4 ohm resistor in series with them so as not to draw too much current from the amp. However I'd wait 'till some ICE expert chimes in before doing anything.

Trust saab to be different,putting 4ohm speakers in place of 8ohms will make the amp run hotter...

 

Thanks for the info Jon. It seems that you can't buy 3.5 inch 8 ohm speakers anymore. Not sure what to do.
