Hi, hope someone can help, I have a saab 93 automatic V reg.. when I first drive the car in the morning, it drives 100%, when I return to the car it seems that its gone into safety mode, as it really struggles to pull away and hasn't got that normal umph that saab's have, if I then stop the car, take out the key completely, and put it back in and drive it , its fine again. Ive had a diagnostic done and it does not show a fault, Any ideas please??

Hi, does anyone know how I can get the airbag light to turn off without having to pay for the car to be plugged into a diagnostic device. The light was not showing until I had took out the two front seats to clean them, the plugs were plugged back in, but since doing this the airbag light stays on the dashboard. I have a saab 93 (200

The only thing you could really try is removing the battery for about 15-20mins and hope it resets the system if not it will be back to the garage I am affraid.

Regarding the gear shifter sensor it sounds like you got away lightly mine had the same symptoms but also delayed and harsh engagement of drive and turned out to need a new auto box.

Thanks for your reply, i was quoted ÂŁ350 for the gear shift sensor, but i was advised to take it out and clean it first beofre having a new one fitted, aparently it is common for this sensor to be dried by deposits from the battery as it sits underneath the battery, I did this and since doing this its run great. No doubt i'll have to have it replaced eventually but for the time being its fine. I have taken the battery off to see if resets but only left it off for about 5 minutes, i'll take it back off and leave it a bit longer to see if that works

Error codes from the SRS system are not cleared by unplugging the battery :(. They can be reset with Tech2, some dedicated China-made devices or after (I don't know how many) successful starts without error. But nevertheless, what has caused the light? If the car wasn't started without seats and everything was properly reconnected, then you actually do have some error?

Your right, disconnecting the battery for a length of time did not work. As for what caused the light to appear, the only thing that was done was the front seats were removed for cleaning, however after cleaning the drivers seat and putting it back in, I had to move the car just a few yards, this was done before the passangers seat was put back and it was only then that the airbag light remained on, uptill then it use to go out
