I have steam cleaned the engine on my 96 9000 aero but now it wont start! it turns over but wont fire up. i changed the plugs as they were wet and thought that might have cured it bit still no good, can anyone help? where is the ecu located? also i was wondering if it may be the immobilisor and was wondering if there's any way of resseting it.

You can reset the ECU by removing the negative battery cable and leaving it for a few minutes. I usually leave it for 15. Not sure of the ECU location on a 1996. Maybe try checking the fuses to see if anything got shorted because of the water? HTH

Hi

Try checking you have not disturbed/got wet the connections to the crank position sensor on the front of the block underneath the ex manifold or for water ingress into the DI casette connections

it was the di rail, put another one on and now starts fine.
