After changing the heater matrix on a friends 9000CSE the other day I decided to check the oil level.
The lower part of the dipstick (2mm or so)has a white creamy colour liquid on it, rest appears normal ciolour.
Does this mean a cylinder head problem.
There does appear to be a slight oil leak in the cylinder head gasket area.
Car is a 1995 2.0 CSE Turbo 127K miles.
Regards
PS heater matrix are no more fun to change on the third occasion!

If you suspect the head gasket then that's probably where the coolant has gotten into the engine. Either way that's what has happened.

You need to rectify the leak & then drain & replace the engine oil. Get that nice & hot & drain at least once more. You need to get as much of the cream out as possible as this can clog up the oil breather.

Totally agree!

Re: Oil leak.. 9000's often have a slight oil leak on front right hand corner of engine block (facing car from bumper), but this is normally a superficial leak not related to head gasket.. apparently.

Never-the-less, head gasket has most likely failed internally for oil to get into water.
