I'm thinking of getting a stage 1 upgrade to my 1998 9-5 2.0 LPT. The handling doesn't inspire confidence as it is, so I'd have thought with the extra power, some suspension tweaks would be advisable.

I can't afford to change the alloys at the same time, so I'll be running on the standard 16inch alloys 215 width tyres. Also, I can't afford too much on the suspension upgrades - what would give me the most benefit for the least cash?

Anyone got any before and after pics of cars that have had the springs fitted (30mm lower)?

Also!

Some of these mods aren't a lot to buy, i.e. Rear anti roll bar mounting bush kit £23.38 - but how much do they cost to fit? Would the springs cost much to fit?

You could fit the rear anti-roll bushes yourself. Takes about 20 mins need to spray bolts with lots of Wd40 so they come undone. Springs are more difficult need spring compressors its a more advanced DIY job. If your not confident with a spanner get a garage to do it. Expect to be charges between 3-6 hrs labour.

Hi Kev Mc,
Try this site (i can personally recommend it)

following link takes you to the 9-5 section

http://www.elkparts.co.uk/index.php/cPath/...b358c829d1f07a3

I upgraded my '98 9000 anti-roll bushes (front and back) the result was less roll and better steer generally. (took me 3hours all in all - 30mins back 2.5hrs front)
Next step is to buy an ECU upgrade.
The 9-5 upgrade is

Then finally stiffen the suspension.. all i need is money
