Now don't just dismiss this one out of hand.....
here goes......

NITROUS OXIDE

Yes, I know we don't talk about it here, but is it really such a non-starter?

Could a smaller system i.e. up to 50bhp be added to a 9000 Aero engine?

I read that the modern systems have controllable progressive inputs so that its not an all or nothing bang!

I recognise that gearbox problems are possible (probable) but would uprating the clutch first help to avoid or prolong any such issues?

Is it compatible with Trionic?

Does anyone know anyone who has done this successfully?

Constructive comments only please, I'm just thinking out loud, I wouldn't do such a thing really, you understand

Well..... could I?

Have a look at www.noswizard.com if you haven't already, there is a lot of info on modern systems. The head guy there apparently really knows his onions. Modern nitrous kits are nothing like you see in the movies, and can be made to work with most engines, but bear in mind that what you get with the laughing gas is a huge torque boost. On top of the already large chunk of mid range torque from an Aero engine you will put your gearbox and clutch at risk. Start with a small 25bhp increase and work up is what I have been told.
