2 parts to that answer;

firstly the Porsche gearbox has totally customisable gear ratios and final drive so i guess you could put in cogs to hit whatever in-the-gears speed you like.
Secondly, as i have been in an Ultima and seen the driver change into 5th at 170mph
, 100mph in 2nd seems feasible.

True...but,

Back in the mid-60's Ford's famed 427SOHC V8 had a 8,100rpm limit from it's 427ci capacity, and was safe to 9,000rpm for very short periods.......
