any suggestions on where's best to go ?

Hybrid/ball bearing turbo's are flavour of the month but where's best to go ?
also I was quite pleased with the power I was getting so should I stick to a std one ?

your considered opinions and sources would be a help

Ylee, when that happened on my Aero, I got a quote from Turbo Technics in Northampton and they would have rebuilt it for around £200. In the end (long, painful and sad story), it was done by the dealer (at great expense - they only fit new parts).

Anyway, they're obviously not on your doorstep and there are probably other specialists nearer to you, but if you can get it off and get it to them, you should get a decent price.

They also develop turbochargers and do hybrids too.

turbotechnics quoted me around £200 to rebuild my own unit..but I would have to take it out and send it to him..this means time off the road
A fully refurbished exchange unit was £410
Two stroke was £20 cheaper for a gauranteed unit so thats been fitted wednesday..
btw I tried freeing the impellar as before..the damn thing moves freely !!!!!
I must have broken the shaft

(another reason for an exchange unit !!)
