What type of cooling does the turbo use in a 9000CS LPT?

Does this require cooldown time after a hard run?

Right now i'm lettin the turbo cool anywhere from 15sec - 1 min depending on how hard I ran the car. Is this sufficient?

All Saab turbos since the late 80s are water cooled, so heat soak is not normally a problem except for high performance models. The normal way of "cooling down" after a hard run is to drive the last mile or so gently. Other than that, remember not to blip the acccelerator before turning the engine off, as this will leave the turbo spinning without any oil flowing through it.

I do a combination of the two mentioned.Drive in low revs as you are coming to the end of your journey.When I get there I give it up to a minute on a short trip and two on a long.After all broken turbo's are very costly
