I know I said earlier about the ig switch being faulty.
but whats happening now is when it does this "no lights/power" thing, sometimes I do get lights but when it goes to the second click to start the engine I loose everything again.

And I do mean dead,I loose the time on the clock, the radio staions the bloody lot.
What the **** is wrong with this thing is it the switch??

I mean can a duff switch cause havoc with all these electrical problems I just mentioned.

The clock, and radio don't get power through the ignition switch. I suspect a a duff connection to the battery. Either at the battery terminals themselves, the earth strap or the juction box mounted beside the battery. Check all of these points for corrosion.

Thanks again guy's....but get this! I took the battery out the Saab (out of curiousity) put it in the BMW (my other car) and it started first time.

I then put the battery from the BM into the Saab and it started first time.
But when I took the Saabs battery out the BM and put it back into the Saab it still woudnt start it.
I'm confused, but like Derek/Scott ect said it may be a power cable in the Saab thats causing the problem.
