I'm trying to determine if my car has the Trionic or Jetronic system. It's a 1993 CDE, non-turbo automatic. It has a DI and it does not have TCS.

In looking at the specs, the 1993 NA seems to be a change point, and it's not clear to me which I have.

I'm not trying to fix anything yet, I'd just like to know what system I have.

Thanks,

mike

Correct me if I'm wrong here guys.. but Trionic refers to a software system governing (Fuel, Ignition and APC) 3 for Tri. You won't have trionic, if you don't have a turbo.. because there is no APC on a non-turbo car (of course).

Only cars with a turbo after 1993 (I think) have Trionic.

Normally Aspirated cars have a Bosch motor management system.

2.3 Turbos prior to 1993 but with Direct Ignition, have a DI/APC box and a seperate Bosch Jetronic box for Fueling.

Thanks all.

I see that the specs/manuals aren't the only things that don't agree.

When I head out this afternoon, I'll check under the hood against Injectie's picture and see what I have.

Thanks,

mike
