Have MOT in the morning and I am doing some last minute prep on the 2.0l 1992 CDiS. I don't have a balljoint splitter so is there any problem with me undoing the nut on the track rod end balljoint as far as it will go without falling off, then give it a "percussion adjustment" to pop the joint? I have the new replacements standing ready.
