Tragically I can remember the novel being profiled in the magazine SAAB sent to new owners in the1970/80s. I might even still have it.

The remote starter sounds interesting, I trust that the reverse gear lock was diabled - or did Bond just wait until the bad guys wre behind the car?

It was in an 1982 copy of Saabscene I remember...

Odd that the promo pictures show a car with Incas and the museum example sits on the TRX wheels....

Yes, because IIRC only the four and five door variants had TRX wheels, mind you a museum might be the most appropriate place for thr TRX wheel.......

[engage anorak mode] 3-dr cars also had TRXs for M83, and poss M82, but the 007 car always had Incas when it was used as a promo car.

pass the anorak 3-drs had the TRXs in 82 and 83, but the Incas 79-81....
