Just a quicky before i spend a wedge of my hard earner cash - have any of you guys put goodyear eagle f1 (gsd2's) on a 9k (205/60/15). I've run them on previous vw's and they were ok but for my 130 quid is there better out there?

Hi, Yes I have tried the Goodyears and they are a good tire but I would ask what you intend to do with the car? If it's try weather traction and high performance, you may want to check out either Bridgestone or Dunlop. I won't mention the "M" brand because of where they are made but that's just a personal thing.

John

I swear by them..except in snow when they are as much use as a chocolate firegaurd
I have found them to have excellent traction in all weathers , wear well, quiet and have a good ride quality
however I am running 235/40 zr 17's so they might be a bit different in std size

I have them on my 9k carly. Previously I had Bridgestone S-02. They are near as identical as you could possibly tell. (Although the F1 lasts longer.) I would imagine its pretty much the same as the S-03.
All in all I have been very pleased with them - would certainly buy again.

My previous Saabs have had either Dunlops or Eagle GTs. Never got alot of tread wear and with either and they were bumpy when cold.

I have Michelins MX4s on my 9000 now and they are by far the best tires I have ever ridden on. Soft when cold, great cold and hot traction, very smooth ride.

Skiddins posted this on 29 April if hat's the one you lost:

I'll be getting them from Micheldever Tyres Hampshire, in err, Micheldever

Apparently they're beside the train station there.

This was the main post for tyres last time.
I've copied the important bit this time.
