Anyone got any ideas, sounds like something metal scraping on the ground. Nothing underneath when moving, goes quieter faster I go, could the heat shield fallen loose and touching something

Help and advice appreciated

wear indicators on the brake pads?

If it sounds like it's coming from a wheel/brake. Check the metal splash guard on the brakes. I had this on my 9-3 tid the day I bought it, (yesterday) and they checked it there and then. It just needs a slight adjustment. Simple job apparently, took them seconds to do. Hope this helps :)

Could be a stone in the brake shield.... Really loud a slow speeds and not so noticable at higher speeds..

Thanks guy's thought it may be something like that, will check it out. Does not sound mechanical something caught.

have you checked above (obviously the sensible one's)

is it only when driving not stationary and apply revs? try turning aircon off see if that makes a difference
