I have a placebo temp gauge on my 97 Aero and the needle used to apear in first quarter of the gauge even in very hot weather in traffic.
Do you know, on what values it depends? If I disconect motor temp sensor - it doesn't affect the needle, but the check engine light goes on, and revs became unstable.
If I disconect water temp sensor, needle goes to the blue zone, but not as low as the engine is cold

Would you advice me?
