Last November I purchased a 91' 9000 2.3T,which is fantastic,but when cold there is this strange noise which sounds almost like tappets but not quite,when you open the bonnet you can't hear it, you can only hear it from inside the car.I managed to track it down to the plastic fuel pipe clipped to the bulkhead and as the injectors where firing the pipe would pulsate and the bulkhead would act as a drum to amplify it.All I need to do now is find out what is causing it,maybe a faulty fuel regulator on the rail.
Any other ideas would be welcome.

There's something on 'Alldata' about that being the subject of a factory recall. It was only actioned on customers complaint though.
