True, but I should have figured it out from your other thread ...

I'm not sure about the stereo in a '91; the 'SAAB'stereo in my old '96 was mfd by Harman Kardon, I think. Or was it Clarion? No, I think it was HK. Anyway, if you can figure out the OE Manufacturer, you should be able to figure out who best to look at the unit for you.

cms 80, i believe this was the apline unit, i got a replacement from a saab specialist who had an old 9000 breaking last week,

cost me £40 for the tape unit, small price to pay for originallity

My 91 9000T came with a Grundig tape player as standard. It now has the Alpine CD player out of my 99 in it. This has highlighted the inadequacy of the 9000's standard speakers so I'll have to think of ways to get my entire Alpine speaker set up transfered to the 9000 without chopping any holes in it...

In the late model 9000 CS's, does anyone know what size the speaker mounts are?

I believe they are 10cm/4 inch components in the front, and the rear looks like a 6x9 and a tweeter but I am not sure.

yeah mine too, has the cd player fitted, and works great, the only thing is though i believe my amp is on the way out, has anyone had any experience with this unit, the amp is fitted into the dash, below the cd player.
