Hi all
I just wondered if anyone had removed the steering rack bushes without removing the whole thing from the car? I know I'll have to unattach the rack from the mounting bolts, but I was warned by a mechanic that the most likely problem I was going to face was problems getting the hose attachements off without damaging them....so I was hoping to avoid this all together by extracting the bushes from under the car. Or am I on a complete looser with this approach?
Are the old rubber bushes inside aluminium sleeves like the rear wishbone and uper-control arm bushes? Or are they just pushed directly into the rack?
Cheers
Kev
BTW, it's a 1993 aero, if that makes any difference
