Hello. I have an '89 9k automatic. It has a chronic starting problem, whether cold or warm, you have to crank it quite a bit before it starts.
I replaced the fuel pump, regulator and filter, but to no avail.

Also, it is so incredibly gutless, as well as giving hesitation. Too I am only getting like 25 mpg on the highway!

Any ideas?
thanks

Check all your vacuam lines as suggested if no improvement check the non-return valve on the end of the return fuel line where it fits in the tank, this can seat its self off center and not lift giving over fueling and for some perverse reason the fuel tends to drain back in the delivery line so you have to refill every time you start up.
Best of luck
Mike
