Lately I have been having a slight problem with my automatic 9000 stalling on me at odd times. The first time was in the middle of the double roundabout from hell (acutally Prestbury). The last few times it has been when I have had to come to a stop. It doesn't happen all the time and it starts right back up. I can't seem to see any pattern to this. Anyone else with an autobox have this problem????

I am NOT a happy SaabKat

B4 condeming anything check all vacuam pipes,a split pipe will weaken the mixture and that in itself will cause stalling,if pipes ok , take the trunking off between the inlet manifold and aircleaner/turbo and clean with carb cleaner including air mass meter.these are the usuall causes, good luck with the engine and the honeymoon,do you need any help with the latter??

>>The usual cause is a faulty turbo bypass valve and it affects manuals as well.

Ahh.. thanks for this info BillJ.
I had the problem on my previous 2L ECO Manual - which usually only occured when I came to a fast stop - but several Saab specialists suggested it was an ECU fault! (I had checked/cleaned ICV, etc and didn't fix my particular problem). Your suggestion could have saved me pulling my hair out!! But that was 2 years ago and the hair has since regrown!

I would definately have been 'over the moon' with this info, even if I wasn't having a honeymoon! )

Have a great one Steven A. Are you marrying your Saab, or Saabkat, or both?
