With the SRS light on it basically means that your airbag is not working. As carrera says it is often caused by disconnecting/flat battery, or by disconnecting the airbag and turning the ignition on. It needs the Tech II to turn it off, and also diagnose in case it's something else causing it, so I'm afraid it's a trip to the dealers.
