After careful consideration I have decided to visit abbott racing for my upgrade. 2.3t LPT, upgrade, apc, chip and filter, apprx 40bhp and 50lb/ft.

However, I had already ordered a JR cone type sports filter and asked if Abbott could fit it, Abbott strongly recommended NOT fitting a cone type filter as it can lower the torque!

Abbott recommend using an ITH filter, which I have no clue what it looks like

Whats everone else opinion of this ?

Abbott will not recommend anything they cannot sell you and I'd be interested on how they come to the conclusion that it will lower the torque

I got my airfilter from ELKPARTS (cracking delivery), very easy to fit, will see if it makes any difference in the morning !

Bit of a pain to fit though, that or my arms are too big !
