Sorry if I'm being thick but I have searched all over for the answer to this and keep getting answers to the removal of other stuff like vents and stereo.

What I want to do is remove the silver/chrome beading around the edge of my 93 sportwagon dash. (see pic)
I can get a couple of inches away and it seems to be held by hook type clips.
But then the rest wont come out.
Is it a case of whole dash removal then release from the other side or am I not using enought brutte force and ignorance?

Oh by the way the reason for removal is to spray paint it a nice lurid green.

Ha ha. That was one of the first guides I looked at.
I don't do stuff like that because I am one of those people that WILL mess it up.
May do the stanley knife shuffle along it and use glue to hold it back in place.
Yes I am a barbarian.
Do not buy my car after I have finished with it.
I picked lurid green to go with the stick on shiny green trim stuff from ebay.
I picked green trim to go with the lights on the dash which are of course green.
