Hi all.
Hope every one staying safe and well with the current global situation.
Can anybody help out or had simliar issue's.
2005 93 8 valve diesel.
Last few days the car shudders badly when shutting engine off.
I've checked for any fuel and air leaks but don't see anything out the ordinary.
I removed the intake pipe to the throttle body and there are traces of oil residue.
I read a post about anti shudder and a setting to do with the butterfly valve.
Cleaned it out with a german throttle body cleaner for diesel engines but its made no difference.
Can anybody help out please?

Check engine mounts and gearbox mounts .
Is the clutch ok ? No noises or rattles at idle or when you push the clutch pedal down ?

Hi lizzardt no noises from clutch still nice and smooth despite covering 125 k.
Sat with bonnet up to check any engine movement whilst revving engine and its very soild. Gearbox looks same.
Engine mounts show no signs of aged rubber.
Engine oil and filter changed last week.
Weird how it decides to start doing it.

One thing noticed with intake pipe off if you cover it with hand engine cuts out with exactly same shudder as when turning ignition off.
Which led my to think something wrong with throttle body.
