I need to sell my 9000 auto aero it has 120k, all the usual, but has a blown turbo.

New di pack & after market 17"s with new tyres (these were new about 3 months ago and have done less than 2k)

How much should i be looking for?

I've spent 2months looking/researching to replace my written-off Aero.Values appear to be more age related than anything else....120k is not excessive just a little 'upish'.... replacement turbo could be got from source such as Neobrothers .. easily costed ..add in 'extras' (you won't realise full value on those!).. condition of vehicle ...and spend some time looking at websites specialising in Saab (location seems to add a premium .. most Saabs SW are higher priced than others... do look at Abbotts site!! Are you sure that the turbo is blown?

yep, lots of end float, oil leaking into exhaust causing smoke out of the back.

have had it verified by 2 mechanics

Subtract the price of a replacement turbo plus 15% from the book value...

Usually better to fix a problem first, if you want best price.

Go for second hand unit (cheapest option) or recondition swap out and give seller invoices - for the latter!

i replaced a turbo on my 9000 cd carlsson at a place somewhere near leeds,think it was drillington,turbo dynamics.although it was a few years ago it only cost £250 recon with a '2 yr' warrenty.AFAIK brand new units only come with a 1 yr warrenty

Sorry, aerojod, but I think the place is spelled 'Drighlington' (don't want to be thought of as a smarta*se but it just might help in locating the turbo people).

like i said it was a few years ago,still cheap though when saab quoted over £1000 + vat
