I saw that on autotrader last week when I was having a look for my next car (I wish).

I too thought it was expensive, but compared to my car, it's done less than 2 years mileage. Mine did 25k miles a year for the first 3 years.

When I was looking for my 9000, Cromwell Saab had a 96 Aero with 39k on the clock for £9995, so this seems positively cheap! I get the impression with Aeros that you ignore the book as good ones are scarce. According to one specialist I tlaked to they are verging on cult/classic status now.

For what it's worth - I've just been looking for a 9000 recently, and I just can't see what an Aero gives you that you can't get by suitably modifying a 2.3T. And at those prices you'd get it cheaper too!
Besides - the Aero seats are disgusting - they remind me of flared trousers

It's on the high side, even for a mint Aero, but I wouldn't say it was a rip-off. £1500 less would make it more appealing, that has to be said. I'd hope that the price would include a fully inclusive 12-month warranty.

On the flipside there's a 96 Aero with 110K on the clock going for £2500. But there you have a private sale, hence no warranty. So you could easily spend £4-£5K in a couple of years if you were unlucky. Unfortunately that's not a completely uncommon experience with second hand Aero's.
