Saab Electronic Diagnostics- Magazine Article

Hi all,
Just bought a copy of the Dec 03 Car mechanics Mag.
Its got an article on the engine management on a 1993 9K 2.3 Turbo.
Its got a write up on the system, a few Technical Specs including crank angle sensor and a wiring diagram on the Trionic.
From my limited experience of Saabs (including court cases and dodgy dealers) and what I have read on this site it seems to sound about right.
Anyone else seen it and got a more informed opinion.
Cheers

Re: Saab Electronic Diagnostics- Magazine Article

Hi Wayne,

Yep I bought it too. A few snags like 'boost sensor' for the intlet air temp, knock sensor which I dont think the trionic has (?) and crank position sensor arrow suggests its at the clutch end instead of the crank pully where its not that close to the exhaust. Also talks alot about wastegates sticking which I've never had and dont hear about too much but didnt mention the APC selonoid which does cause problems. They also talked about the DI failing without warning - yes this does happen but I suggest 50% of the time there will be a misfire at high boost to give some warning.

I'll go get my anorak
