Wondered if anyone could give me some more info please ?

I have a 93 vector anniversary convertible on an 07 plate. I've heard that all Saab's of a certain age go into "limp home mode" at 100k miles, its a known problem and costs about £1200 to get the car fitted with new parts to meet EU regulations (!). Can't find any info on this though so thinking it might be older models ?

Any help would be appreciated.

Also thinking about changing the car in light of recent news of Saab's bankcrupty, but if they get bought by another firm I may go for a newer 93 convertible on the basis that they should be a good price. Any views to help guide me would also be appreciated
