Saab 9-3 2003 rear wheel sound noise problem on damaged road

What is this noise coming from rear wheels when driving on damaged road. It is very disturbing and garage can't solve it! The car is Saab 9-3 year 2003. It seem to come from the back where the wheels are and it is hear only where back wheel hit the hole of the road. And chacked evrything else, but seems all to be ok. Thanks!

not like anything i have heard before. looks brake shield catching the disk/caliper??? heat shield on cat loose or fractured???

sounds like summats is rattling around pretty loosly with the spin of the wheel or something :/ weird ! is there any feeling from the noise you can feel through the car ?

Thank's for fast replay to all! The breake shild was the first thing i was thinking about, but when you look at it and try to move it or even hit with hammer seems to be all ok. I will check the cat heat shield, but the sound is like coming more from the back, where the wheels are and i think you can hear it coming from the left wheel an on right, this because vnen you only hit a hole for with the left wheel and you are od the right side of the car you hear the noise is comming from more distance... hope you understend what i mean... If the spin of the wheel will be bad i should hear something even on nice road, but on the nice road is all ok and quite! The sound is hear only when the holes are hit by the left and right rear wheel.

id check for broken spring tip mate... but tbf they are open on the back and just sat on rubbers so you would of thought it should have fallen out ?

Yeasterday i was at the garage, i ask them to check the spring seat (bump stop) they are not nice to see, but they should be ok they said! The spring were look ok too, but probably if the only spring end is broken maybe it is hide inside the spring seat and is dificult to see?!

bang on bottom of exhaust see if cat or baffle come loose in one of boxes my brother had very similar sound on a escort years ago and cat had come loose inside of box.............dont forget the sound may echo so may not be where you think

Yes, i understend, but then this sound should reproduce when i grab the exhaust and move it left, right up and down with all my force, as the exhaust is moving all the ways. But this sound is not hear when i do this with exhaust. We even chacked the exhaust pipe " movineg end" because it is not look so good, and if i hit it with a hammer, then is it hear some kind of noise but it is not like that. But when i move the exhaust all around there is no noise coming out. Later i will try to drive the car over bad road and try to gently press the brakes so i will see if somthing diferent is coming out.

Ok, i got some news. I try to hold softly the break when going over damaged road and the noise was completly gone, when i leve the break the noise was back. So i realize that that shoulb be somthing with the break housing. When i went to garage and say the news we have see that someone stupit put the breake kit pads that's do not have the anti rattle spring. And that's why they have dance in the brake housing. Today we will fit the new break pad kits, let you know later the results.

I chenged the rear break kit pads and the noise is completny gone now, so the problem was really in that. Thanks.
