Help!
Can someone please advise me on removing the door mirror switch (the one by release handle).

Have been struggling with this for about an hour.
Any help would be most appreciated.

Yep,

1. Pull off the left/right switch knob (just pull)
2. Remove the small piece of foam behind (remember orientation)
3. Flick the little tab at the rear that was under the foam forward and gently pull the rear portion of the oval plate forward
4. pull the switch unit out as if hinged at the fron edge, carefully pull the connector and cables through and disconnect.

Done.
Under here is a door mounting screw in a metal U shaped washer.

Haynes manual is sadly lacking vital details. It completely skips over how to remove this switch.
Have got a good mind to write a letter of complaint to the publisher.
