Hi all, i have a 2.3 carly and under the passenger seat there are 2 boxes, one is red which i think is the apc but what is the other box the reason i ask is because i am hunting for the ecu, thanks

If it's the same as mine (not the Carly thou) it is the ecu, (not the red 1).

Lee, which "ECU" are you looking for? There are two in Carlys- one for the LH fuel system and another for the DI/APC. I'mm 90% certain they are the two under the passenger seat.

i am looking for the ecu which contains the abbott upgrade, i am looking to confirm she has been indeed abbotted

Is that not the same one I was talking about?!, I remember on my 2.0 fpt it was under there and was black box that said that on it too.

My Carly has the Red Box APC and LH systems under the black plastic panel between the bonnet and the windscreen. You need to take all the bolts out to get at it.
If memory serves the two boxes under the passenger seat are the ETS system and ABS computers.
I didn't think Saab put the APC computer in the car, it was always somewhere in the engine compartment.
I would be interested to know what Abbott did. The theoretical maximum for the DI/APC system I thought was around 250bhp?

BTW I am talking about my '92 CS Carlsson. I guess an earlier one wouldn't have the ETS computer.
