REAR VENTS BLOW HOT - DRILL A HOLE MOD?

Hi

I have searched the forum for most of the evening (!) and wish to try the "drill two holes" mod on my '98 9-5

The heating and A/C work fine, except for the rear passengers melting when the front is Normal!
This is overcome by setting the temp to LO - which then gets the rear vents blowing cold

Is anyone aware of exactly where the two holes are to be drilled?

I have already looked here:
http://www.mitt-eget.com/saab/faq_acc.shtml

I presume one must be near the pass SIDE vent - the other near the pass CENTRE vent?

Any help would be much appreciated

Many thanks

Bigstuff, I wouldn't get the black and decker out just yet. I had exactly the same problem and it was a broken plastic piece which links the stepper motor to the rods. This means that the flaps to the rear are stuck in the hot position all the time.

This is fairly common aand Saab have re-designed it to be stronger on later models. I would check this thread out before you perform surgery.
