As in the title - has anyone had any experience of swapping over the rear fuse box? Will a Vectra C fuse box fit? There are SAAB fuse boxes available but I'm waiting for a reply from the seller to confirm they have been unmarried from the donor cars. Looking at other posts on the net I believe the replacement fuse box will have to be married up to the car - does this sound right and if so is it a straightforward job? Ongoing electrical problems at rear of the car and many days scouring for info have led me to believe that the REC is kaput.
Hi should be pretty straight forward to replace. Box probably does not need divorcing from donor car but probably needs marrying. I bought a second hand door module after fitting it only part worked had to have it married on tech 2 now it works perfect.
Thanks for the reply, I have been on the phone to a local SAAB indie and they have confirmed same - it will need married up to the car. 100 quid for them to do the installation and 25 quid for me to source a second hand fuse box. Just hope it sorts it all out.
it's not just a fuse box,if you open the old one up you'll find a circuit board etc inside..
