I guess everyone will agree with me when i say saab's are one of the best cars on the road.
But why o why did they have to put that awfull orange red and black plasic facia on the back of the car? Mine has cracked and is discoloured and that means i will have to go and find a scrappy with a 9000 in to find one.
I think i will get some good primer and give it a coat of automotive black.
Any thoughts?

Many 9000s of similar vintage (yours is a 1992 CD?) didn't have the strip. Perhaps it's possible to remove it altogether?

CS and faclifted CD models had reflective strips that didn't tend to fade.

I've heard of people painting them but I get the impression it doesn't give great results.
