Further to my earlier posting.I think I have now found the cause of the problem , I was losing brake fluid through the pins of the brake pressure sensor,but this only happened when the car hadnot been used for a couple of days,on the last occasion , as I watche3d a couple of quids worth of fluid drip over the subframe , a friend looking on asked if the vent hole was clear in the cap , it was but only in one direction,as the accumulator pressure dropped , causing the brake fluid leval to drop air was able to be drawn in to the reservoir.However on start up as the accumulator pressurised and the brake fluid leval rose , the air could not escape , forcing the fluid through the sensor.two seconds work with a needle looks to have saved a couple of hundred quid
