I need to flush the coolant in my car, but I can't find the drain plug anywhere! Haynes just said it was on the right side of the radiator. No pictures! Could someone more accurately describe its look or location?? A picture would be even better. Thanks in advance

p.s. Car is a 91 9000 cd turbo

Hi there,

If you remove all the plastic covers from underneath the engine, get down underneath the car and look up you should see a black plastic plug that from memory is on very bottom of the left hand side of the radiator.

The drain plug is as dicreamio describes.

If the coolant is old, it's also worth using a proprietary flush- they work really well.

There is also a block drain plug, but if you don't want to mess with that, you can simply disconnect the top rad hose and you will find that a standard Hozelock quick fit connector fits nicely inside it and will enable you to have a good rinse through
