No direct experience but IMO on Trionic/APC equipped cars this sort of device is just a very overpriced manual boost controller.

Why pay £300 for a bolt on boost controller that is not able to take account of knock etc when you can either pay £20 for a mechanical valve that does a similar thing or go the whole hog and spend a hundred or so quid more and get a proper ECU remap, which is much safer.
