I have recently returned my 89 Carlsson to the road after about a months layup due to alternator problems.

The problem now is i get severe hesitation between 3-4k rpm under heavy acceleration... Under normal acceration you can progress almost normally..... Or alternatively if you drop a cog and get the revs above 4k it flies on full boost...

The boost remains about 3/4 into the yellow during the hesitation... but as previously mentioned achieves full boost above 4k.

DI Unit, AMM and Knock Sensor are all relatively new (6-9 months or so.

Does anyone have any suggestions about this or any other problems encountered after a layup...

Thanks.

Its does get better when warm.... the hesitation can only be described in just a juddery, fuel starved sort of manner..

I have just put some Redex in the tank to combat any potential sludgy fuel/injector problems... I am still on my pre-layup tank of Optimax.
