Is the power steering filter a maintenance item on a 9k? It might be part number 4193199.

I changed the fluid at the 10yr mark, but never heard of anyone changing this filter.

I know magnaflow makes a P/S and AT filter aftermarket. But 9k come with them stock? Is teher special P/S fluid for a SAAB?

Saab p/s uses standard GM p/s fluid. If you look under steering compnents for a 9k CS on eEuroparts you will see the filter listed.

I think the power steering fluid may be model year dependant. Early(ish) 9000s use a unique fluid. I changed the power steering filter when I changed the fluid, but it's expensive and the old one was not particularly dirty, so I wouldn't bother again.
