I have a 94 reg. 9000 2.3 LPT auto. About four weeks ago there was sudden power failure as I was driving. I changed the Direct Ignition module along with the spark plugs and it was working fine immediately afterwards...until yesterday. The same thing happened again sudden loss of power and the engine cut out. This time, however,it started up again. The only difference was that on this occasion the car was stationary in a traffic queue.
Any thoughts most welcome.
Many thanks in advance.

I had this problem when I had a 9000 and I traced it back to the fuel pump fuse, the terminals had been arcing on one of the blades of the fuse causing it to melt the fuse.Swopped the fuse no problems after that, might be worth checking yours as it was the last thing I checked after hours of looking and testing things.Hope it is something easy and cheap to fix we all need a good result sometimes
