My 89 9000CD Turbo started acting bit strange. First I started hearing "ticking" sound at idle, then the next day car just stalled after few miles.

Here are the current symptoms:
1) Does start, idles about right, but dies after 10-15 mins. This ticking sound can be heard..
2) You can drive this thing on a straight road, but if there is a hill or anything ,usually just dies/stalls
3) There is no boost. APC meter goes to almost to red, then I think fuel is cut out..

So any ideas?

i have one idea..... don't know if it is right or not but it is my thoughts...

1 - ticking is the APC solenoid and your wastegate hose is either split or disconnected from it or the actuator (i know that mine ticks if the hose is disconnected from it)
2 - the boost is hitting cutout because of the wastegate not being opened to reduce boost.
3 - engine stalling... may be something to do with the fuel mixture being rich at startup allopwing it to run, then once the engine is warmed up and the mixture leaned out it cannot run (no theories at this point as to why...)
other than that.
