Mark_A-

Well must say that workshop schedule was on a white board and it was full for the week- cannot remember if your car was mentioned or not Mark.

Mind you the Griffen was spotless in the car park and still had tyre dressing on- so i guess it hasnt been driven anywhere. Is that 240k kilometres or Miles on the clock?

What is being done to it if you dont mind me asking?

Hmm, that's a bit naughty, taking your car off you before they're ready to start work on it. I hope its ready on the day your due to pick it up.

They're taking the engine out for a rebuild. Chains, Pulleys, Balancer Shafts, Bearings, Head Gasket, Valve Seals, Cam Gasket, and Oil Pump and Seal. And while they are at it fitting an Abbott Gas Flowed Head.

They're also fitting Koni shocks, springs, wishbone bushings, F/R anti-roll bar bushings, new rear anti-roll bar, gearbox mount and top engine mounts. Plus replacing the Dunlop SP9000 205/55-16s with Bridgestone pp S-03 205/50-16s.

And removing the two small dings at the rear, one on the boot top and one on the passenger side rear.

So they have a lot of work to do in the next two weeks, since they seem to have done nothing this last week. Cos I pick it up on Friday 25th.

P.S. Its KMS - 250000. - 150000 Miles.

It already has TSL Stage 2 Brakes, Full JT Exhaust, Abbott ECU and Wastegate Actuator. So hopefull after the work above it will be fresh for another few years.

Thats almost a new car! I would be interested in your opinion on the Spring and damper changes- specifically if they harm the ride quality significantly.

Didnt think the Dunlops were that worn- are they any good?
I have called a few local tyre specialists and Bridgestones are Hens teath at the moment. I am going to France on Thursday and was considering replacing the naff goodyears before then.

RE: work on your car- could it be that the engine has been removed yet the car is parked outside?

The front looks at normal ride height in the photos and it definitely wouldn't be if the engine were missing.

Actually the Dunlops are excellent, and not worn yet - however they are the wrong aspect size for my car - I received some bad advice, and they've been rubbing, so when my car is lowered it will be worse - therefore the change in tyre.
