Hi all,

I've had my 2003 (53 plate) Saab 9-3 2.0t Vector for about 4 months now. At the beginning everything was fine.
However, recently the front passenger door has stopped working.
By that i mean it doesn't lock/unlock with the central locking system, the window doesn't work, the mirror doesn't adjust or move down when i press the parking mirror button.

The door speaker still works.

I've checked the fuse for the door controle module, but thats fine...

Any ideas what this could be?

You could try disconnecting and cleaning the contacts on the connection in the door hinge. But it's more likely to be the door module or the connections/wiring to that.

I had a very similar problem with my 93, all front electrics failed, central locking, mirrors, windows, even the parking brake would not release (mines an auto) even the ABS malfunctioned.

Upon checking all of the fuses in the whole car found the fault in the fuse box on the end of the glove box middle row around the middle, I would recommend checking all of these fuses before trying anything else as that is what I did and resolved the issue.

While checking the fuses disconnect the battery otherwise you may end up causing more problems.

Thanks for the replies guys...

Deano - I've checked every fuse in the car (under bonnet, by glovebox and in boot) and all are fine.

I'm aiming towards the door control module to be honest. Was hoping somebody on here may be able to confirm, but may just take it in to the local Saab specialist.

Hi Bjarvis2785,

I've got the same problem with my front passenger door. I'm going to take the door panel off, did this work for you?

Thanks,

My front passenger door in my Saab doesn’t receive any electrical when the car is started but everything works fine when the car is off and the key is turned to the on position,, I’ve checked all fuses and connections,, has anyone ever heard of this problem??
