A chap where I used to work was made redundant. He set up on his own as a Chips Away franchisee. I have never had the need to use them, but I believe they can work wonders. I have used a local and independent dent repair chap who is little short of a miracle worker on dents on two of my Saabs.

Thanks John, do you have numbers where I can reach both of these gentlemen? I'm in the "Sunny" Wolverhampton area.

In total, I have 7 rust spots - 2 of them are about 3 inches square, the others much smaller. It's pointless spraying the whole panels because the rest of the paint is excellent. Just the usual bits near the wheelarches and by the sills.

I am particularly interested in this thread, as my 9000 has 2 minor dents below the nearside wing mirror, but actually on the edge of the wing it self.
I live in Sevenoaks, Kent.
Could anyone recommend the best/cheapest way of having thease dents taken out.
I have seen a kit in Halfords for this, but cant imagine it's much good. Maybe someone has used this?
Thanks

don,t you find the weak spot on saabs is the bottom of the doors cause the drainage holes get blocked. for small d.i.y jobs you can get paint made up in spray cans if you supply paint code and year of car. i have used this and it is spot on/and my car is a burgandy colour;;;

Who supplies this paint Zep?

For 'some' minor dent's you can buy a dent puller with a handle which enables anyone (with care) to pull out modest dents. But small dents can be more difficuly and need a special long lever inserted down between the window and top of door, to press from the inside of door. The dent specialists have these tools.
