I have not had experience of this with a Saab, but a solution that was reached on a another vehicle was to remove the pan to flatten the sealing edges, and replace using a gasket tailored from several thicknesses of gasket paper. Apparently, distortion was not unknown for the sump, due to the different materials used. (Plastic) sealant in a tube is not recommended since hardened portions may break off in later life, causing blockages in channelways and the oil system.
